STONE AGE TRADE MEETS FUTURISTIC TECHNOLOGY
our leadership
The team at 3DiQ is passionate about building practical tools for the masonry industry that elevate the work of masonry contractors, producers, and architects designing with masonry. We exist to make BIM a reality that you can put to work no matter what role you play in design and construction.
Tom Cuneio - CEO
A mechanical engineer who found his way into masonry, Tom got his start in the industry as an architectural salesperson. In this role, he came to understand the processes and needs of the architectural design and commercial building communities. The more he learned, he became convinced the lack of 3D modeling in the masonry industry was starting to hold it back.
Tom is an honors graduate with a BSME (mechanical engineering) degree from the University of Missouri. In 2004 he founded CAD BLOX to model masonry for contractors and producers. Seeing a need for BIM authoring tools specialized for masonry, he founded 3DiQ in 2016. Looking to the future, Tom sees incredible potential for automation to play a major role in BIM content development for complex construction systems.
Tom Cuneio - CEO
A mechanical engineer who found his way into masonry more than 20 years ago. Tom got his start in the industry as an architectural salesperson. In this role, he came to understand the dynamics between producers, designers and contractors. Convinced that 3D models could address problems on all sides, he founded CAD BLOX LLC in 2004 which eventually opened the door for masons to participate in VDC coordination.
The success and experience of CAD BLOX made it clear that increased access to quality models was the way forward for all parties in the masonry industry. 3DiQ Inc was founded to automate masonry systems to optimize design, production, and construction. Tom still sees no limit to the opportunities to improve all aspects of AEC through intelligent modeling and is eager to see masonry lead the way to the future.
Industry partners
3DiQ is proud to work with respected partners across the masonry industry. Our partnerships allow us to strengthen our software capabilities and keep a finger on the pulse of what industry professionals are looking for.
Education partners
Masonry iQ is a powerful tool for teaching as well. With the added capabilities Masonry iQ brings to Revit, students studying architecture are able to visualize the modular impact of masonry systems on critical design elements. Many architectural students graduate with limited understanding of how masonry works and how to properly design masonry elements. Access to Masonry iQ provides analytical feedback on design decisions that guide the designer toward optimal solutions.
3DiQ partners with the highest-caliber schools in the country to make these tools available to students who represent the future of our industry.
